Acrylic Roof Coatings
Acrylic roof sealant is best in southwestern states and is the most common roof coating in the industry. Acrylic roof coating is a water-based formula that is used for reflecting UV sun rays from the sun and good for weathering the elements. However, it does not do well in puddles or pools of water which is the most common problem with flat roofs.
Polyurethane Roof Coatings
Polyurethane roof sealant is a solvent based roof coating that is composed thermoplastic organic units (aka plastic). A form of polyurethane is used as insulation for refrigerators and freezers. When it is used as a liquid form for roof coating it is great when repelling moisture but does not do well against UV sun rays.
Rubber Roof Coatings
The rubber sealant is liquid rubber that is used as a repair solution instead of a total solution. It is much thinner than acrylic or silicone roof sealants, so it makes it easier to seal shingle or tile roof cracks and leaks.
